HOW LONG DO TREATMENTS TAKE?
Before any treatment commences, you will receive a full consultation with nurse prescriber Debbie. Anti-wrinkle injections usually take between 5 and 10 minutes to administer, fillers take between 10 – 20 minutes, depending on which area is being treated.
Dermal needing takes between 60-90 minutes.
HOW SOON WILL I NOTICE THE EFFECTS OF THE TREATMENT?
You will see immediate effect from the dermal fillers. Anti-wrinkle injections to 2-3 days to start working and it may take up to 2 weeks before you notice the full effect. After any treatment, a follow up consultation is made to ensure that you are happy with your treatment and you have achieved the effect that you were hoping for. At the follow-up consultation, a free top up of anti wrinkle injection is offered if required.
WILL IT HURT?
Before you have a dermal filler, an anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin, making it less noticeable when the injection is given. Anti-wrinkle injections may sting very slightly, but the injections are quick, shallow and most people do not find them painful. If you are worried an anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to the injections. For dermal needling, an anaesthetic cream is also applied to the whole face before the treatment commences and you may feel a tingling vibrational pressure across the skin during treatment.
HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?
Anti-wrinkle injections generally last for 3 to 4 months for the first couple of treatments, after that, you may only require re-treatment twice a year.
Depending on the treated area, dermal fillers last between 6 to 12 months, sometimes they can last longer depending on which one is used but this will all be explained during your consultation.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
We will discuss in detail what you can expect from your treatment at the time of your consultation. However, with anti-wrinkle injections, some clients might experience a slight headache a few hours after their treatment and there can also be minor bruising at the injection site.
Reported side effects from dermal fillers include slight redness and bruising where the filler has been injected. Some clients may experience a slight swelling, firmness or itching but some have no symptoms at all. In the vast majority of cases, effects are temporary and generally resolve within a week.
